Please I am dying to know what people think about this???

While the Backstreet Boys are reportedly on the verge of getting dropped from their record label and while NSYNC seems like nothing but a distant memory, the group that started it all may be back to fill the boy band void. New Kids On The Block, the boys that gave teen girls plenty to scream about in the late 80s and early 90s sent a message to fans - via their recently revamped website - that an exciting and ground-breaking development is in the works. Accoring to E! Online, People magazine has reported that the development is that all five New Kids (Jordan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, Jonathan Knight and Danny Wood) will soon be returning to the pages of teen magazines as they put back together the once-fractured group. There has been no official word by the group but the site seems to state the obvious. As a fuzzy television set flickers on and off, different photos of the group flash by. "They rose from the streets of Boston," the site says. "To become the biggest band in the world. They influenced a generation. They sold over 70 million albums and grossed more than one billion dollars. Five multiplatinum albums, 10 top 10 singles, five number one singles. Then they walked away from it all. Millions of fans around the world await their return. Are you ready?"

New Additions to the Gillespie Family

The other night we had an FHE lesson on animals. Then Garran and I decided it would be fun to get some fish. We had been talking about it for awhile. The boys just love fish. Everytime we are at the store and they see them, they ohh and ahh over them. So we are proud to introduce, Linus, Roy Baracus (Garran) - Spot (Cullan) - Garbage (Kael) - FLOTA (This is mine.. Our Friendly Neighbors will appreciate this more than anyone.. FLOTA stands for First Lady of the Aquirium)

This is Kael's fish Garbage! Unfortunately since this picture was taken Garbage has passed on and now we have a new Garbage. Shhh Kael has now idea!

This is FLOTA... She definetly runs the tank.. Suprise Suprise.. I have been told I can be bosy at times.

Roy Baracus - Garrans fish.. He is so funny.. Anytime we go near the tank.. It looks like he is fussing at you. He and FLOTA are always chase each other... Very Cute!

This is a shot of the whole tank. You can see all of them.. It's hard because some are hiding. Oh well this our new crew!

SPT-2008

but what if there was a way to do it all? what if there was a twenty-fifth hour of the day, an hour all to yourself! no commitments, no distractions, no need to sleep. what would you do?

SIMPLE TWO THINGS
TAKE PICTURES AND LEARN HOW TO DO IT BETTER
AND
SCRAPBOOK!
I LOVE THEM BOTH

So it didn't go Well?

This was the look on my face when I walked in the door. I knew Garran knew that it did not go well. He came over immediately So we are under all kinds of weather advisories today. They are saying not to leave your house under any circumstance. Well they do not have children. So today we had planned to do laundry. Living on campus we have to go to a laundry mat. (Which I hate with every fiber of my being, and it gets worse every time I have to do laundry here) Back to my story. When I woke up this morning I had to run to the store. It was about 15 degrees outside, which is not to bad (I know all my southern friends, I can not believe I am saying that either) Anyways I just had a pullover on, some gloves and a hat. Later that afternoon the wind started to pick up and I thought I had better get cracking on that laundry before the weather gets bad, just in case our local weather man was right about this crazy storm we are supposed to get. So we get the laundry together and I told Garran I would take it. I honestly just needed to get out of the house for a little while and have some piece and quite time to myself. Ok... Well Garran loads the van up and I head off to the laundry mat. Before I get out of the van I look and my temp thing says 0. I thought well, I guess we might just get a little snow after all. From the short 3 minute drive from my house to the laundry mat it was like the gates of the arctics most inner circles had opened up and they were trying to suck my right out of the parking lot. IT WAS FREEZING. It was the most painful cold I have ever experienced in my whole life. I am trying to unload my three baskets with the wind whipping around me like I am in the middle of some freak snow tornado... It was HORRIBLE! So I am trying not to cry because my hands are hurting so badly and I am slowly dragging my laundry across the parking lot. Low and behold a hugh gust of wind came right up behind me and you guessed it, there went my laundry two baskets all over the parking lot. Socks, pants, our unmentionables =). I honestly thought to myself... What have I done today to deserve this. I am running around the parking lot trying to pick up our clothing only to have what I throw in quickly blowin back out.... Needless to say I really dislike where we live more now then ever .... Maybe tomorrow I will feel different. Here is how I will more than likely feel tomorrow!
Just in case you can't read the cartoon it says "If you have not found the car by noon, I'm going back to bed" =)

The Passing of a Great Man

I just want to say that for anyone who has never heard of President Hinckley, even if you are not religious, he was a great man. He always seem to make you laugh and feel loved all at the same time. I always enjoyed listening to him and admiring the way he was able to portray different stories or convey different messages. I will definitely miss him. I am grateful for the opportunity that I have had to listen to him and learn from him.

SALT LAKE CITY 27 January 2008 President Gordon B. Hinckley, who led The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints through twelve years of global expansion, has died at the age of 97.
President Hinckley was the 15th president in the 177-year history of the Church and had served as its president since 12 March 1995.
The Church president died at his apartment in downtown Salt Lake City at 7:00 p.m. Sunday night from cause’s incident to age. Member of his family were at his bedside. A successor is not expected to be formally chosen by the Church’s Quorum of the Twelve Apostles until after President Hinckley’s funeral within the next few days. President Hinckley was known, even at the age of 95, as a tireless leader who always put in a full day at the office and traveled extensively around the world to mix with Church members, now numbering nearly 13 million in 171 nations.
His quick wit and humor, combined with an eloquent style at the pulpit, made him one of the most loved of modern Church leaders. A profoundly spiritual man, he had a great fondness for history and often peppered his sermons with stories from the Church’s pioneer past.
He was a popular interview subject with journalists, appearing on 60 Minutes with Mike Wallace and on CNN’s Larry King Live, as well as being quoted and featured in hundreds of newspapers and magazines over the years. During the Salt Lake Olympics of 2002, his request that the Church refrain from proselytizing visitors was credited by media with generating much of the goodwill that flowed to the Church from the international event.
In recent years, a number of major developments in the Church reflected President Hinckley’s personal drive and direction. In calling for 100 temples to be in operation before the end of the year 2000, the Church president committed the Church to a massive temple-building program.
In 1999 — 169 years after the Church was organized by its founder, Joseph Smith — the Church had 56 operating temples. Three years later that number had doubled, largely because of a smaller, highly practical temple architectural plan that delivered these sacred buildings to Church members in far-flung parts of the world. Many more Church members can now experience the sacred ceremonies that occur only in temples, including marriages for eternity and the sealing of families in eternal units.

Early Spring Blogging...Cleaning out the folders!

So there are a few things that I meant to blog about but then changed my mind or ran out of time. So here is my idea of spring (cleaning) blogging. There will be a bunch of random picutres that were meant to be posted for some reason or other just did not make the cut. Here ya go!

These first ones are of the boys. We were finger painting and I only got these two before my camera batteries died.
Cullan gets very intense when painting. He seems to pay very close attention to what he is doing.

Kael is more intereseted in eating it and spreading it everywhere... either way lots of fun!

I told you we were starting to potty train.. This is when we were working out all the kinks!

I love this picture of my boys. Daddy and Kael look so cute!

Wrestle Mania ....... I never knew it was in boys DNA to be so wild! =)
I guess they get it from their Dad!

OH BOY....WHO KNEW POTTY TRAINING COULD BE SO FUNNY!

Potty training is starting slowly at our house. However Cullan told Garran that he needed to go potty. He went a little but said that he was not finished so Garran said fine leaving Cullan in the bathroom and saying he would be back in a minute to check on him. Garran had come out in the living room to talk with me about something and a few minutes later ventured in the bathroom to check on Cullan. Garran then came running back out into the living room telling me to grab my camera. So I grabbed the video and digital cameras and off we went. I came around the corner to the bathroom and this is how we found Cullan.. I must say.. Like Father Like Son!
The whole picture was very cute but I had to crop it due to modesty issues!

Who would have thought

So apparently I am pretty intimidating. Garran and his brother work for the same company. Sam called yesterday asking Garran to cover a shift for him. Garran was going to until he found out that it was not for Sam but for some girl that was scared to call our house. I guess this girl told Sam that I was mean to her every time that she called. When Garran told me this I just laughed. I thought either this girl is crazy, because I really am never rude to people on the phone with the exception of sales people sometimes, or she was the one girl who called when I was like 9 months pregnant with Kael, Garran had worked a double and she called and wanted him to work an overnight that same night. So basically he would have been gone for 24 hours. So my pregnancy hormones got the best of me on that call. However other than that I really am very well behaved on the phone. Oh well enjoy the video. I thought this was much better than showing you my angry eyes!

Well as stated in the previous blog, my friend Mandy had here friend Emily here from NY for her big weekend. Anyways Saturday night after things had calmed down a little, we had a mini girls night. We all ended up going over to Stacy's and just hanging out and talking. (ie-little black book!) Anyways we were all a little hungry and decided to order a pizza. While discussing what to get we asked if Emily like Taco Pizza. She said that she had never heard of it. So immediately we decided ti was a must. Mandy's Big Day!

Well Saturday was so exciting for my good friend Mandy. Mandy is married to Mike who is a member or our church. Mandy has been learning about our church for the past eight years. About two weeks ago she decided that she wanted to get baptized. We were all so excited to share in her special day. I know her decision will bring her great happiness. The day was freezing outside, but so many people came to support her, including her mom which I know meant a lot to Mandy. She even had a good friend fly in from New York to share the day with her. I hope Mandy knows how much she is loved and if not ,We love you Mandy!!

PS.. Doesn't she look so pretty in her white dress! Great Job Mike!

What is that smell, do you smell it, it smells like vanilla?

Last night Garran had put the boys in the bath tub and was busy doing something. I was sitting in the living room which is down the hallway from our bathroom. Anyways I was sitting on the couch when Garran says I am going to check on the boys. Recently we have been putting them in the tub but with the shower on because with the tub full of water, our bathroom was like a small swimming pool by the time the boys were done. Anyways, Garran says I think that I will go and check on the boys, they had been playing for a little while. So he goes "OH Meghan, come here and look at this" I walk in to the site of a tub full of water (they figured out how to pull up the stopper) and a bathtub full of bubbles. First I say what is that smell, do you smell it, it smells like vanilla. Then I start laughing and say hold on let me go get the camera. As I am walking down the hallway it comes to me that the smell is from my brand new bottle of vanilla bean body wash I just got for Christmas. I have only used it twice. Oh well here are the pictures.... ENJOY!

This was Cullan's face when he realized 1-His fun was over 2-He was caught!
I would also like to point that the line in my story "Hold on let me go get the camera has become a common one at our house. Our children's lives will be document by millions and millions of pictures that I am sure they will some day be sick of.

our story

Midwest, United States
I love the saying "the best thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother". My husband does an amazing job of that. I am truly married to my best friend. We laugh often and try to see the best in every situation, or at least find the humor in it. We have four beautiful children. Cullan (7) Kael (6) Briea (3) and Ayla (2). We are currently living in Illinois while Garran attends Grad School. He is a talented print maker and is enjoying his time here. He has a website if you are interested. www.garrangillespie.com Right now we are living every day to the fullest and trying to have as much fun as possible along the way!!

This explains why I blog so much RIGHT?

“Your journal is your autobiography, so it should be kept carefully. You are unique, and there may be incidents in your experience that are more noble and praiseworthy in their way than those recorded in any other life. …
“What could you do better for your children and your children’s children than to record the story of your life, your triumphs over adversity, your recovery after a fall, your progress when all seemed black, your rejoicing when you had finally achieved?”
Elder Spencer W Kimball!

I need to read this every morning!

"It isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is. It all works out. Don't worry. I say that to myself every morning. It all works out in the end. Put your trust in God, and move forward with faith and confidence in the future. The Lord will not forsake us. He will not forsake us. If we will put our trust in Him, if we will pray to Him, if we will live worthy of His blessings, He will hear our prayers."

-President Gordon B. Hinckley
