Date Nights!

Ok well as much as I love my boys, sometimes it is great to get away and have a date night with my husband. We finally got a chance to have a date night. My husbands mother watched our boys and we were able to go out to dinner and watch Pirates of the Caribean. I hope I spelled that right. I think it is so important to just go out with your spouse and remember why you feel in love and got married. It is fun to be able to go out and not worry about diaper bags or sippie cups. I am sure that any of you who have kids can agree that sometimes it is great to have a nice little break where you can just enjoy each other. I am lucky to have such a wonderful husband who is fun to hang out with and who is patient with me when I am going crazy dealing with kids and housework.

Happy Memorial Day

Well we had a fun Memorial Day weekend. We spent time with both of our parents. It was fun. We ended up spending time with Doodlers parents and sister, and then took a suprise, kind of last minute trip to to see my parents. But we had alot of fun. It was a good time. We took the boys to the Zoo. They had a blast. Curls really enjoyed the animals. Rewind kind of just took it all in. They both were super good and we had a good time. Hope everyone else had a good time this weekend as well.

Great Weekend!!

Well this weekend was wonderful. Friday night I had a very small suprise party for Doodler. It was just 2 or 3 other couples. We have a very small place. Anyways it was a complete sucess. I pulled it off and he had no idea. It was great. He was really suprised. And when I asked him why he did not pick up on some of my more obvious mistakes, he smiled and said "Pearly you do weird things all the time, I just thought you were being normal". Anyways the next morning Doodler and I got up and did our first 5K together. It was great. We had alot of fun. This was just a great weekend. Hope everyone else is having a great weekend too....

Feeling Blue

I recently found out that a couple that is friends of mine that live in NC lost their baby early this morning. I feel so sorry for them. I hate when things like this happen. I feel like I never have the right words to say. I just pray for them. That they may find relief from the pain sooner than later.

Enjoying the summer

Well we are really enjoying the summer. Curls is our outdoor junkie. He loves to be outdoors. I have to wait till he is taking a nap to check the mail, becasue as soon as he hears that door open, he makes a run for it. It is also wonderful to have Doodler home a little more. Summers are great! We love BBQ's, swimming and hanging out with friends. We will be celebrating Doodler's birthday soon. I can't wait. It should be alot of fun.

I love the saying "the best thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother". My husband does an amazing job of that. I am truly married to my best friend. We laugh often and try to see the best in every situation, or at least find the humor in it. We have four beautiful children. Cullan (7) Kael (6) Briea (3) and Ayla (2). We are currently living in Illinois while Garran attends Grad School. He is a talented print maker and is enjoying his time here. He has a website if you are interested. www.garrangillespie.com Right now we are living every day to the fullest and trying to have as much fun as possible along the way!!

This explains why I blog so much RIGHT?

“Your journal is your autobiography, so it should be kept carefully. You are unique, and there may be incidents in your experience that are more noble and praiseworthy in their way than those recorded in any other life. …
“What could you do better for your children and your children’s children than to record the story of your life, your triumphs over adversity, your recovery after a fall, your progress when all seemed black, your rejoicing when you had finally achieved?”
Elder Spencer W Kimball!

I need to read this every morning!

"It isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is. It all works out. Don't worry. I say that to myself every morning. It all works out in the end. Put your trust in God, and move forward with faith and confidence in the future. The Lord will not forsake us. He will not forsake us. If we will put our trust in Him, if we will pray to Him, if we will live worthy of His blessings, He will hear our prayers."
