Mother's Day Weekend.

This Mother's Day was bitter sweet.
Sweet because my in-laws came to visit for the weekend and help us prep the house for the move.
Bitter because we will be moving farther away from them and other family.
That part of moving is never easy.
We got a lot of painting and work done.
We took a quick break to snap a picture. I am always forgetting to get in the picture, so this time I had Garran take one.
Of course I wanted a picture with Grandma and Grandpa and all the kiddos.
We really appreciated all the help Garran's parents gave. We painted and cleaned, hung blinds.. We got a lot done.
And of course on Mother's day, I wanted a picture with me and my babies. They are all getting so big. Not really babies any more. But oh how I love them all.
Happy Mother's Day
to
my mom, garran's mom, and all the other wonderful moms I know.
Hope everyone had an amazing Mother's Day!!

Cullan's Mothers Day

I meant to post this, but have been a slacker.
Cullan made me this awesome card and sang me a song for Mother's Day.
I posted the song and forgot to post the card.
So here it is.
Not all of his facts are accurate, but it is still adorable.

Early Mothers Day

When I picked Kael up from school today he had a Mother's Day present for me.
I wanted to wait until Sunday to open it, but he could not wait. He wanted me to open it as soon as we got home. When I did there was a potted plant that we will have to water to help it grow. A cute picture of my little man and a wonderful card that stated that he loved me to pieces!!!
I loved it.
What a great mothers day gift!!!
These are the things I look forward to. Cute hand made cards and adorable pictures of my littles!!

Happy Mothers Day!!

I know that it is a day early but I am sure tomorrow will be hectic, so I wanted to go ahead and do this post tonight.
this picture below is one of my favorites of my mom and i.
isn't it just a happy picture. i don't remember this moment, but I am glad that I have this picture so that I can see it.
Happy Mother's Day Mom!
Sorry we can not be there to celebrate it, but hope you have a wonderful day.
I also thought that I should recognize another mom on here, that I just realized I have not in passed years, but completely by accident. I don't know why it never occurred to me.
Anyways, the other mom is my mother in law!
before i got married i had heard horror stories about mother in laws, but i got really lucky. mine is great! we have a good relationship and I always look forward to spending time with my in laws. we are sad that we can not be with my mother in law either on mothers day, but hope her day is just as great!!
Happy Mother's Day !!!

mothers day picnic~

i guess that it has become kind of a tradition that my dads side of the family gets together on mothers day and has a picnic. this year was fun because it was the first chance a lot of them had to meet briea. of course i was excited to show her off too. so we hopped into the van and took a little trip to visit the family for mothers day. this is my grandma pat holding briea for the first time!
little k-man on the swing.

the little girl on the left is kimber. she is my third cousin. she was born a day after briea. i have no clue what that makes her to briea but they sure are cute together..
this is my little cousin. my dad and briea.cullan enjoying some digging.
grandpa jeff and the kiddos making silly faces. well i think briea just wanted to sleep.
all in all we had a nice visit and a fun time. i know the kids had fun playing at the park and playing with all the kids.
hope everyone else had a happy mothers day!

Happy Mothers Day

Mothers Day 2008!

Well we had a busy but great Mother's Day! We went to church and then hit the road. It was so much fun to see family. I got a wonderful gift from all of my boys. They got me a bag that I had been wanting.. Daddy did a good job of picking it out. We went to a family Picnic first and had a great time playing outside. Then we made a quick stop by my moms to say hi and pick a few things up from there amazing garage saleing abilities. It was a long but great day.. HOpe everyone had a great Mother's day!

I love the saying "the best thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother". My husband does an amazing job of that. I am truly married to my best friend. We laugh often and try to see the best in every situation, or at least find the humor in it. We have four beautiful children. Cullan (7) Kael (6) Briea (3) and Ayla (2). We are currently living in Illinois while Garran attends Grad School. He is a talented print maker and is enjoying his time here. He has a website if you are interested. www.garrangillespie.com Right now we are living every day to the fullest and trying to have as much fun as possible along the way!!

This explains why I blog so much RIGHT?

“Your journal is your autobiography, so it should be kept carefully. You are unique, and there may be incidents in your experience that are more noble and praiseworthy in their way than those recorded in any other life. …
“What could you do better for your children and your children’s children than to record the story of your life, your triumphs over adversity, your recovery after a fall, your progress when all seemed black, your rejoicing when you had finally achieved?”
Elder Spencer W Kimball!

I need to read this every morning!

"It isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is. It all works out. Don't worry. I say that to myself every morning. It all works out in the end. Put your trust in God, and move forward with faith and confidence in the future. The Lord will not forsake us. He will not forsake us. If we will put our trust in Him, if we will pray to Him, if we will live worthy of His blessings, He will hear our prayers."

-President Gordon B. Hinckley
