did i mention.....

CURLS LOVES THOMAS!

today a friend called and said that there was a ton of thomas stuff at this garage sale her friend was having, so of course i ran over. oh my curls could see it from the road. we pulled up and he said woo~hoo. that is his new thing. he says it all the time when he is excited. anyways i found a few things and we headed home. as we were pulling up so was sargento. we all came in together and pulled out the new toys. i think everyone in our little family had fun. (well minus rewind who was asleep on the couch) one of the thomas trains that we got actual shoots steam out of the top and blows a train whistle.

very cool!

here we are enjoying the train.

catch of the day

i came back from outside to find that sargento had found a new way to entertain the boys..
(if your wondering what he is holding them up with, it is the cord to my robe.)
oh the things they come up with!

out in the fields....

today for playgroup we went to a local farm and decided to pick some strawberries! i thought this would be fun and relaxing.. well not so much for me. it was still a lot of fun though. my kids ran all over and would not stay in the three rows we were assigned. (i have decided no matter where we end up, we have to live on a lot of land. my kids love farms) so luckily i have patient friends who would watch one while i chased after the other. but in the end... after about an hour of being there i walked away with one little pint. needless to say i was the picker, curls the taste tester and rewind the explorer!!!

curls holding our strawberry box and you can't see but sampling as well!

rewind wandering with the row marker

H~N with her little green bucket of yummy strawberries

S~N busy picking some too..

T~N was also a taste tester .... he was so good just staying by his mommy

I~W .. well who can blame them for wanting to sample.. they are pretty good.

our very nice modern day farmer with his cell phone and ipod

all the pickers when we were done... woo hoo for strawberries!

ok time to go!!

see ya next summer strawberry fields!

as always you can click here to see more.

you may not know this....

but i think i have discovered the new enemy.. or maybe that might be what sargento will be thinking in the near future. can you tell what it is.. thats right it is a target bag. i went there tonight to get dinner and ended up walking around for an hour looking at some picture frames i needed to get, some diapers and wipes, all of there summer clothes for me and the boys....i guess i just forgot how cute all of there stuff is. when i used to go before it was always just a quick in and out trip due to time or kids or whatever..hmm i could go on and on. it is even worse that now it is not far at all. i smell t-r-o-u-b-l-e ! oh well i will have to limit my trips to target i think.
i ended up leaving with a few things that were not on my list...
------------------------
just for fun i found this old picture of us.. this was us last summer... i can not believe the difference in the boys. this was pre back suregery and gall bladder surgery. pre a lot of stuff. the end of last year was a little rough. i am hoping this year ends better. however, it does remind me though that i want to get a family picture this summer sometime.. ahh probably won't happen...(im always the one taking the pictures=)

my favorite time of day

so not always but some days this is my favorite time of day!

(im trying a new style of playing with my pictures.. i am not sure if i like it or not)

no matter what color i have some sweet boys!

somedays i think...

some days i think we should have named him thomas. my little curls loves anything that has to do with thomas the train. so today we went to target. we have not been there in a long time because before it was so far from our house. now since the move we have one right by our house. anyways so we had probably been to a target like twice in the last six months. anyways today curls and i rode to target to get rewinds float and as soon as we pulled up curls goes "woo-hoo ~ thomas"~ I could not believe it. what a memory this kid has. anyways we get inside and curls runs straight to the toy section, which luckily is by the pool stuff and just stood in awe of the thomas isle. (target has the best selection of thomas stuff in my opinon) anyways he has been playing with his new train all day, while wearing his thomas hat. yes i caved and bought him the train. he was just being so stinkin cute!

swimming solo

ok so to most this would not be anything to brag about, but today i did it. i managed to take both boys swimming all by myself and not lose anyone or have any major injuries.two boys that are only 11 months apart can be a challenge to take places alone sometimes. I bought this great floating thing for rewind, so that left my hands open for curls. he is always wanting to jump and splash, so it is good that rewind can just float by me while i catch curls. I was going to post a picture of rewinds new float but a friend has it. as soon as i get it back i will so you his new cool toy! have i said how much i love summer and swimming and everything fun that goes along with it!

our story

My photo
Midwest, United States
I love the saying "the best thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother". My husband does an amazing job of that. I am truly married to my best friend. We laugh often and try to see the best in every situation, or at least find the humor in it. We have four beautiful children. Cullan (7) Kael (6) Briea (3) and Ayla (2). We are currently living in Illinois while Garran attends Grad School. He is a talented print maker and is enjoying his time here. He has a website if you are interested. www.garrangillespie.com Right now we are living every day to the fullest and trying to have as much fun as possible along the way!!

This explains why I blog so much RIGHT?

“Your journal is your autobiography, so it should be kept carefully. You are unique, and there may be incidents in your experience that are more noble and praiseworthy in their way than those recorded in any other life. …
“What could you do better for your children and your children’s children than to record the story of your life, your triumphs over adversity, your recovery after a fall, your progress when all seemed black, your rejoicing when you had finally achieved?”
Elder Spencer W Kimball!

I need to read this every morning!

"It isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is. It all works out. Don't worry. I say that to myself every morning. It all works out in the end. Put your trust in God, and move forward with faith and confidence in the future. The Lord will not forsake us. He will not forsake us. If we will put our trust in Him, if we will pray to Him, if we will live worthy of His blessings, He will hear our prayers."

-President Gordon B. Hinckley
