Fireworks!

Happy 4th of July!

I am thankful to be an American but must admit I worry about our country. Here is to hoping by this time next year we will see positive changes!!

DAY DREAMER

I happened to notice Ayla laying in the grass, watching the clouds, lost in thought..
I love this little free spirit of mine!

The Fire Dancers!

AT THE PARK THERE WERE FIRE DANCERS...
BRIEA WAS COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY AMAZED.
SHE WOULD YELL OUT DURING THE PERFORMANCE, EVEN WHEN IT WAS QUIET "AWESOME!!!"
THE LADIES LOVED HER. THEY WOULD COME OVER BY HER ALOT AND EVEN KNELT DOWN RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER TO DO A BUNCH OF TRICKS.
THEY DID A GREAT PERFORMANCE AND IT WAS FUN TO WATCH.
THIS LADIES NAME WAS BRITTANY. SHE WAS GREAT AND WAS REALLY KIND TO B.
AFTER THE SHOW, BRIEA ASKED IF WE WOULD TAKE HER OVER TO MEET THIS NICE LADY. SHE WAS GREAT AND LET HER HOLD PART OF THE FIRE WANDS FOR THE PICTURE. B WAS SO EXCITED. SHE EVEN INVITED BRITTANY TO WATCH FIRE WORKS ON THE BLANKET WITH OUR FAMILY.

4th Activities!

After the parade we went to Colby Park for all the fun that Windsor Heights had planned.
They had live music, which Briea absolutely LOVED. All she wanted to do was dance with everyone in the crowd.
There were Princesses there too. This made the girls VERY HAPPY!!
 Hanging out with my Love!
 My patriotic flower child!
They had a bunch of inflatables set up. It was fun watching the kids play and race against other kids.
 Cullan did pretty well.
So did B considering the girl she was going against was much older.
They had some fun Frisbee spin art...
 and Balloon animals!
Here is our crew listening to live music and waiting for the fire works.
 My silly girl.
 These boys crack me up..

4th of July Parade

Monday morning we got up and walked down to the end of our street. Lucky for us.. that was on the parade route. It was a fun little parade. We enjoyed watching as people went by.

Muffin really enjoyed the parade. Especially the part where they threw dog treats to her!
Have I mentioned my kids love parades. They jump and yell and get so excited. Candy.. No Candy.. It really doesn't matter... They just love parades!
They cheered for the wagon train.....
and for the HOT HOT HOT fire truck.
I love this picture of them all jumping up and down... It just makes me happy.
This picture... well it melts my heart. I love t his picture of B with her Daddy!

our story

I love the saying "the best thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother". My husband does an amazing job of that. I am truly married to my best friend. We laugh often and try to see the best in every situation, or at least find the humor in it. We have four beautiful children. Cullan (7) Kael (6) Briea (3) and Ayla (2). We are currently living in Illinois while Garran attends Grad School. He is a talented print maker and is enjoying his time here. He has a website if you are interested. www.garrangillespie.com Right now we are living every day to the fullest and trying to have as much fun as possible along the way!!

This explains why I blog so much RIGHT?

“Your journal is your autobiography, so it should be kept carefully. You are unique, and there may be incidents in your experience that are more noble and praiseworthy in their way than those recorded in any other life. …
“What could you do better for your children and your children’s children than to record the story of your life, your triumphs over adversity, your recovery after a fall, your progress when all seemed black, your rejoicing when you had finally achieved?”
Elder Spencer W Kimball!

I need to read this every morning!

"It isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is. It all works out. Don't worry. I say that to myself every morning. It all works out in the end. Put your trust in God, and move forward with faith and confidence in the future. The Lord will not forsake us. He will not forsake us. If we will put our trust in Him, if we will pray to Him, if we will live worthy of His blessings, He will hear our prayers."

-President Gordon B. Hinckley
