happy turkey day~

this year we spent thanksgiving at garrans parents house. his sister and her family were here visiting from Alabama, so we had a full house for thanksgiving.
we got to garrans parents around 11:30 and immediately jumped right in to helping everyone get ready. with 8 adults and 6 kids there was plenty to do to get things ready. kael had fun playing with his cousin julia at first. she really loved kael. (she basically had him in a head lock from hugging him so much=) by the end of the night, kael would cry when she came near him. i guess he could only handle so much lovehere is kael....and here is the hugging bandit julia!!this picture and the next one are really just for my mom, although i never mind showing off how cute my kiddos or hubby are. i am pretty sure my mom has memories of me doing this same thing. cullan walked over from the kitchen while i was sitting on the couch and wanted to show me his cool olive fingers.i just think garran looks cute in this picture!! =)

(this is garrans other sister silara and brother sam...they got a hold of my camera, now i have about a million pictures of them=)
we had a pretty fun thanksgiving, with the exception of the majority of people being sick. today both kael and i have had some issues with getting sick and unfortunately we had a love seat that we were hanging onto while searching for a new one. today though, sadly, was its last day at our house. we were trying to get ready to run to the store and kael got sick all over it. badley enough that we decided it was just time to part ways. so now we are really in the market for some new living room furniture!! oh well hope everyone had a great thanksgiving and if you were brave enough to face the crowds today... i hope you got some great deals.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Garran and his brother look a lot alike! And what cute olive fingers. Funny that my kids will eat fresh spinach but won't go near olives. Oh well. I won't go near half the food I see.

I love the saying "the best thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother". My husband does an amazing job of that. I am truly married to my best friend. We laugh often and try to see the best in every situation, or at least find the humor in it. We have four beautiful children. Cullan (7) Kael (6) Briea (3) and Ayla (2). We are currently living in Illinois while Garran attends Grad School. He is a talented print maker and is enjoying his time here. He has a website if you are interested. www.garrangillespie.com Right now we are living every day to the fullest and trying to have as much fun as possible along the way!!

This explains why I blog so much RIGHT?

“Your journal is your autobiography, so it should be kept carefully. You are unique, and there may be incidents in your experience that are more noble and praiseworthy in their way than those recorded in any other life. …
“What could you do better for your children and your children’s children than to record the story of your life, your triumphs over adversity, your recovery after a fall, your progress when all seemed black, your rejoicing when you had finally achieved?”
Elder Spencer W Kimball!

I need to read this every morning!

"It isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is. It all works out. Don't worry. I say that to myself every morning. It all works out in the end. Put your trust in God, and move forward with faith and confidence in the future. The Lord will not forsake us. He will not forsake us. If we will put our trust in Him, if we will pray to Him, if we will live worthy of His blessings, He will hear our prayers."

-President Gordon B. Hinckley
