Playground Bullies

Ok so when does bullying start. Ok I know this is stupid, but I just want people to be nice to my kids. I mean come on Curls is 2 1/2. So tonight we went to the park as a family. It was great to spend some time together. Curls was playing on some playground equipment all by himself and this group of older boys (if I had to guess, I would say second graders) walked by and said "Hey Bill Clinton" Ok I don't even get that, but then they were kind of mocking Curls. Oh it made my heart hurt because he thinks older kids are so cool. They weren't being super mean just stupid, but you want your kid to not get picked on. So of course being the crazy mom that I am I shot them a not so nice look. The leader of the gang looked at me and goes "OH HI Lady" Ohh I hate smart mouth-ness! One of my pet peeves!

You hit the nail on the head with this blog! I absolutely HATE it when older children are mean or rough with Isaac. I could totally relate when you said it breaks your heart. Isaac also LOVES other kids too, so when they are making fun or being too rough, I am sad for him!

We were at an 11 year old's birthday party on Saturday and I probably offended two 9 or so year olds because they were taking things from Dallin. Two seperate things and at different times. But I don't mind standing up for him!

I hate that to! Seems like when we go to the park there are always older kids that like to say bad words and run around not even bothering to look at the fact that there are little kids around. And my little ones just want to be just like the older ones. It just makes you so mad.

I love the saying "the best thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother". My husband does an amazing job of that. I am truly married to my best friend. We laugh often and try to see the best in every situation, or at least find the humor in it. We have four beautiful children. Cullan (7) Kael (6) Briea (3) and Ayla (2). We are currently living in Illinois while Garran attends Grad School. He is a talented print maker and is enjoying his time here. He has a website if you are interested. www.garrangillespie.com Right now we are living every day to the fullest and trying to have as much fun as possible along the way!!

This explains why I blog so much RIGHT?

“Your journal is your autobiography, so it should be kept carefully. You are unique, and there may be incidents in your experience that are more noble and praiseworthy in their way than those recorded in any other life. …
“What could you do better for your children and your children’s children than to record the story of your life, your triumphs over adversity, your recovery after a fall, your progress when all seemed black, your rejoicing when you had finally achieved?”

I need to read this every morning!

"It isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is. It all works out. Don't worry. I say that to myself every morning. It all works out in the end. Put your trust in God, and move forward with faith and confidence in the future. The Lord will not forsake us. He will not forsake us. If we will put our trust in Him, if we will pray to Him, if we will live worthy of His blessings, He will hear our prayers."
