So this is what happened to US!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY EVERYONE!
This is the short version of our Valentines Day!

This is what we woke up to this morning around 7:30!
The water line broke in front of our house.. That's right now water from 4:00am until 6:30pm no water at all. That explains the pictures of us at our dinner having not had showers yet today!
So we decided to do some laundry and then have some lunch.. Kael really enjoyed this part!
Then it was time to start getting ready for our first ever FAMILY VALENTINES DINNER!
I was so impressed that Cullan came and asked if he could help.. We had so much fun!
So this was the table before we ate... This was the first year so we have a few things we need to still get to really make it work.. But it was good for the first year! No major disasters except on dish caught on fire... But Garran saw it and quickly put it out.. Crisis averted !
The boys did really well with the dinner. They thought it was fun that we had candles and that we let them eat their food in what ever order they wanted.. If they wanted to eat chocolate covered strawberries before they ate their other stuff... Tonight it was ok!
So everything was heart themed as you can see! As the boys get older the meals will get a little more sophisticated... but for now heart shaped burgers and french fries were GREAT!

So this was the final funny thing of the night. As we were cleaning up, we noticed Cullan had dropped to kisses in his sparkling cider... I don't know if you can see it or not but we thought it was funny!
We hope that tomorrow on our grown up VALENTINES NIGHT DATE goes off without so many little hiccups! Hope everyone had a great VALENTINES DAY!

I'm glad you guys started doing this! The boys will LOVE it and get excited each year as February nears! We started when Eden was about Kael's age and it's just been our favorite family tradition! It looks like you guys had a fun time!

I love the saying "the best thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother". My husband does an amazing job of that. I am truly married to my best friend. We laugh often and try to see the best in every situation, or at least find the humor in it. We have four beautiful children. Cullan (7) Kael (6) Briea (3) and Ayla (2). We are currently living in Illinois while Garran attends Grad School. He is a talented print maker and is enjoying his time here. He has a website if you are interested. www.garrangillespie.com Right now we are living every day to the fullest and trying to have as much fun as possible along the way!!

This explains why I blog so much RIGHT?

“Your journal is your autobiography, so it should be kept carefully. You are unique, and there may be incidents in your experience that are more noble and praiseworthy in their way than those recorded in any other life. …
“What could you do better for your children and your children’s children than to record the story of your life, your triumphs over adversity, your recovery after a fall, your progress when all seemed black, your rejoicing when you had finally achieved?”
Elder Spencer W Kimball!

I need to read this every morning!

"It isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is. It all works out. Don't worry. I say that to myself every morning. It all works out in the end. Put your trust in God, and move forward with faith and confidence in the future. The Lord will not forsake us. He will not forsake us. If we will put our trust in Him, if we will pray to Him, if we will live worthy of His blessings, He will hear our prayers."

-President Gordon B. Hinckley
