graduation....the ceremony

december 19th!! that was the big day. my handsome hubby walked across the stage and officially graduated!! i don't think i could ever use enough !!! to say how excited i was. of course, being me, we have a ton of pictures so be patient..these post might take a while.
i got to the dome around 9:30 and I am glad I did. graduation was not until 11:00, but seats were flying and we had over 25 family and friends show up to support garran. it was great. here was a list..(more for our own reference so we won't forget)
1. Mom & George
2. Sara & Jeremy
3. Joan & Mike
4. Jeff, Bridget, Brad, Pat
5. Michaela & 5 nieces and nephews
6. Carl & Christi and kiddos!!
of course i was there with my three as well ;0)here is the stage before the graduates entered.our friendly neighbors made us this sign. i died laughing when i saw it. they also made one for garran, but this was my favorite.here are the graduates lining up to come down on to the field. can you spot garran? he is by the rail third in, kind of waving.here they come...woo hoo!! (garran is third in line again)i had to get a picture of these. here is why. see the brown banner on the end. it says bfa. it was just for garran. he was the only person graduating with that degree. i just thought that was cool.so they do it a little different in college. they announce them as graduated first and then they go get their diploma. so here is a picture of them "graduating" and turning their tassels.here he is on his way to pick up his diploma!!!here he is waiting for them to announce his college and start calling names.taking the big walk across stage.the boys were so excited to see daddy, so aunt sara walked them down. i love how happy they all look.
it was a great ceremony and i was happy for garran that so many people came out to support him. more pictures of the day to come..

I love the saying "the best thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother". My husband does an amazing job of that. I am truly married to my best friend. We laugh often and try to see the best in every situation, or at least find the humor in it. We have four beautiful children. Cullan (7) Kael (6) Briea (3) and Ayla (2). We are currently living in Illinois while Garran attends Grad School. He is a talented print maker and is enjoying his time here. He has a website if you are interested. www.garrangillespie.com Right now we are living every day to the fullest and trying to have as much fun as possible along the way!!

This explains why I blog so much RIGHT?

“Your journal is your autobiography, so it should be kept carefully. You are unique, and there may be incidents in your experience that are more noble and praiseworthy in their way than those recorded in any other life. …
“What could you do better for your children and your children’s children than to record the story of your life, your triumphs over adversity, your recovery after a fall, your progress when all seemed black, your rejoicing when you had finally achieved?”
Elder Spencer W Kimball!

I need to read this every morning!

"It isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is. It all works out. Don't worry. I say that to myself every morning. It all works out in the end. Put your trust in God, and move forward with faith and confidence in the future. The Lord will not forsake us. He will not forsake us. If we will put our trust in Him, if we will pray to Him, if we will live worthy of His blessings, He will hear our prayers."

-President Gordon B. Hinckley
