with a new car seat comes new sassy!

so curls got a new carseat yesterday, although because i have not been feeling well, i did not get it put together and installed until today. sargento was working and so the boys and i thought we would take him so lunch. when curls got out to the car, he was completely impressed with his new seat. he hopped right in and let me buckle him in. i showed him the arm rest, and his cool new cup holder, all the nice features! then as we were driving i noticed a difference in my eldest son in his new cool car seat, he was being a bit bossy. oh no not to his brother but to me. as i was driving he would say "mom, no go this way" or "go there" pointing to a store that he wanted to go to. i would say "no honey, we are going to get daddy lunch remember?" his response "ooookk fine!" i know he is not even three.
this new sassy attitude extends beyond the cool new car seat. the other day i asked him to get down from the computer desk and he just kind of looked at me. so i repeated myself and said "you have to three" as i started to count curls says with some attitude "OK FINE MOM"! of course sargento says that this is due to curls and i spending to much time together. =) i of course then tell him that if they would not have gotten their naughtiness from their father there would be no need of sas from their mother.

no after all that they do have their sweet moments to. i had to stop to get gas on this same adventure out and it was a nice but warm day. i decided to get the boys something to drink. when i brought it out to the kiddos, curls goes "oh tank you mommy, tank you" which of course just melts my heart.

I love the saying "the best thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother". My husband does an amazing job of that. I am truly married to my best friend. We laugh often and try to see the best in every situation, or at least find the humor in it. We have four beautiful children. Cullan (7) Kael (6) Briea (3) and Ayla (2). We are currently living in Illinois while Garran attends Grad School. He is a talented print maker and is enjoying his time here. He has a website if you are interested. www.garrangillespie.com Right now we are living every day to the fullest and trying to have as much fun as possible along the way!!

This explains why I blog so much RIGHT?

“Your journal is your autobiography, so it should be kept carefully. You are unique, and there may be incidents in your experience that are more noble and praiseworthy in their way than those recorded in any other life. …
“What could you do better for your children and your children’s children than to record the story of your life, your triumphs over adversity, your recovery after a fall, your progress when all seemed black, your rejoicing when you had finally achieved?”
Elder Spencer W Kimball!

I need to read this every morning!

"It isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is. It all works out. Don't worry. I say that to myself every morning. It all works out in the end. Put your trust in God, and move forward with faith and confidence in the future. The Lord will not forsake us. He will not forsake us. If we will put our trust in Him, if we will pray to Him, if we will live worthy of His blessings, He will hear our prayers."

-President Gordon B. Hinckley
