sometimes i wonder

so today we were shopping at a local grocery store. they have these carts that look like cop cars, fire trucks, dump trucks, you get the idea. anyways the boys love them. so sargento was pushing the cart with the boys driving and this is what you here from the cart..

boys: vvvrrrrrroooooommmmmm, wooo hooo
(rounding a corner)
vvvvvvvvrrrrrrrrrrroooommmmmmmmmm wooooo hooooo
(going down a straight away.. isle i mean)
vvvvvvvvvvrrrrrroooooommmmmmmm woooooo hooooo

this is the part i wonder about ~ the looks
there are usually a few different ones that i have seen at least, and they are as follows
1. loving smile from mothers or grandparents, who think your children are cute and think of their own loved ones
2. the quick snap of the neck to see who in the world is making that noise, then once they see it is two little boys, go on about their shopping without really any emotion at all.
3. then there is the glare, with the nasty face, and the look of complete disapproval. i always think they must be thinking "can't you get your kids under control"

arggg.. this is honestly how i feel about the situation and feel free to let me know what you think. now while my children were having fun and saying vroom and woo hoo, they were not screaming at the top of their lungs. lighten up people. im sure if someone would let me drive a hugh go cart around a grocery store i might have the same response. don't get me wrong, i do think the volume needs to be kept at a decent level, but we are not in the library we are at a grocery store! maybe im crazy.. lately it would not surprise me if that were the case!

Those nasty looks come from people who, deep down inside, really wish your cute kids were theirs. :)

I concur with Dexter's Girl. I see that too. People are weird.

I love the saying "the best thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother". My husband does an amazing job of that. I am truly married to my best friend. We laugh often and try to see the best in every situation, or at least find the humor in it. We have four beautiful children. Cullan (7) Kael (6) Briea (3) and Ayla (2). We are currently living in Illinois while Garran attends Grad School. He is a talented print maker and is enjoying his time here. He has a website if you are interested. www.garrangillespie.com Right now we are living every day to the fullest and trying to have as much fun as possible along the way!!

This explains why I blog so much RIGHT?

“Your journal is your autobiography, so it should be kept carefully. You are unique, and there may be incidents in your experience that are more noble and praiseworthy in their way than those recorded in any other life. …
“What could you do better for your children and your children’s children than to record the story of your life, your triumphs over adversity, your recovery after a fall, your progress when all seemed black, your rejoicing when you had finally achieved?”
Elder Spencer W Kimball!

I need to read this every morning!

"It isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is. It all works out. Don't worry. I say that to myself every morning. It all works out in the end. Put your trust in God, and move forward with faith and confidence in the future. The Lord will not forsake us. He will not forsake us. If we will put our trust in Him, if we will pray to Him, if we will live worthy of His blessings, He will hear our prayers."

-President Gordon B. Hinckley
