29+1 day

at first i was not sure how my birthday was going to go. garran was only going to be home for about two hours the whole day. Wednesdays are not great for us. so i was sad about that. then we had multiple errands to run and things like that. our first stop was dropping some paper work for garrans bfa show off at school because he had forgotten to take it with him. then we headed over to playgroup so the boys could run and i could visit. my friend krista had gotten me flowers.i was so excited. i love them. plus orange is one of my favorite colors. then while i was at playgroup my mom called and said that even though she could not be here she wanted to treat me to lunch. So the boys and I were excited about that and we picked a place and went and had some lunch together. We ended up going to subway. With all three kids and just me, I was not sure if I wanted to do something a little nicer, but when I asked the kids where they might want to go, they both said subway. Easy enough, and it was pretty good. It was a nice treat.
then garran surprised us and was able to get home about an hour early. that was super nice. we had a nice dinner and some cake. then off to meetings garran went and my other friends mara and stacy came by to hang out. stacy brought me a little goodie bag with two movies that i LOVE. all in all, it was a good birthday. tonight is even more exciting... i get a date night. well date afternoon. we are leaving around 4:00 and getting to go have some fun together. it is so rare, i can hardly wait!!!!!

I love the saying "the best thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother". My husband does an amazing job of that. I am truly married to my best friend. We laugh often and try to see the best in every situation, or at least find the humor in it. We have four beautiful children. Cullan (7) Kael (6) Briea (3) and Ayla (2). We are currently living in Illinois while Garran attends Grad School. He is a talented print maker and is enjoying his time here. He has a website if you are interested. www.garrangillespie.com Right now we are living every day to the fullest and trying to have as much fun as possible along the way!!

This explains why I blog so much RIGHT?

“Your journal is your autobiography, so it should be kept carefully. You are unique, and there may be incidents in your experience that are more noble and praiseworthy in their way than those recorded in any other life. …
“What could you do better for your children and your children’s children than to record the story of your life, your triumphs over adversity, your recovery after a fall, your progress when all seemed black, your rejoicing when you had finally achieved?”
Elder Spencer W Kimball!

I need to read this every morning!

"It isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is. It all works out. Don't worry. I say that to myself every morning. It all works out in the end. Put your trust in God, and move forward with faith and confidence in the future. The Lord will not forsake us. He will not forsake us. If we will put our trust in Him, if we will pray to Him, if we will live worthy of His blessings, He will hear our prayers."

-President Gordon B. Hinckley
