parents visit~

this past weekend my parents came up for a visit!
the kids were so excited. we decided to head out to the arboretum and let the kids play.
on our way there was a surprise outside. george brought up a new company car..
a mini cooper.
garran was really excited. he really likes mini coopers..
the boys asked if they could ride in the "cool car"
that is how they refered to it the rest of the afternoon!
the boys in their car seats waving good bye to me.
george told garran he could try it out. garran said it was really fun to drive.!.
the arboretum was great. everything was in bloom and beautiful.
on our way to the play area i passed one of my favorite flowers.
i love these.
i even had them as part of our flowers when we garran and i got married.
we made it to the kids play place that has a sand area, fish pond, and toys to ride on and play with!kael played with every watering can he could find.
i think my mom must have filled it for him a million times.
cullan found his tractor!
that was it. he was happy!briea was not feeling well that day. she was a little grumpy.
but she enjoyed sitting with mom hanging out by the fish pond!
after the arboretum we headed to a different park to have a picnic!
briea started stealing the food right off my plate. she would just sit there with her mouth hanging open waiting for me to let her have another bite!
after a few bites, she was in a much better mood. she started smiling and chatting with grandpa george!after lunch the boys went a played on the playground and grandma decided to give briea a treat!
she gnawed on it for a while and seem to have some fun.
the boys made all kinds of friends while at the park, including a red head that informed cullan that she was his girlfriend!!
see previous post for details ;0)
my parents brought up this guitar for cullan. he is very into guitars.
he loves it.
he plays it CONSTANTLY!!!
garran keeps threatening to help lose the batteries!
ps. aunt monica.. we got your pictures and cullan plays the thomas cd all the time!
thanks for thinking of them!

I love the saying "the best thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother". My husband does an amazing job of that. I am truly married to my best friend. We laugh often and try to see the best in every situation, or at least find the humor in it. We have four beautiful children. Cullan (7) Kael (6) Briea (3) and Ayla (2). We are currently living in Illinois while Garran attends Grad School. He is a talented print maker and is enjoying his time here. He has a website if you are interested. www.garrangillespie.com Right now we are living every day to the fullest and trying to have as much fun as possible along the way!!

This explains why I blog so much RIGHT?

“Your journal is your autobiography, so it should be kept carefully. You are unique, and there may be incidents in your experience that are more noble and praiseworthy in their way than those recorded in any other life. …
“What could you do better for your children and your children’s children than to record the story of your life, your triumphs over adversity, your recovery after a fall, your progress when all seemed black, your rejoicing when you had finally achieved?”
Elder Spencer W Kimball!

I need to read this every morning!

"It isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is. It all works out. Don't worry. I say that to myself every morning. It all works out in the end. Put your trust in God, and move forward with faith and confidence in the future. The Lord will not forsake us. He will not forsake us. If we will put our trust in Him, if we will pray to Him, if we will live worthy of His blessings, He will hear our prayers."

-President Gordon B. Hinckley
