life~

i have a couple random stories i have been meaning to blog about but keep forgetting.

first off the other day i decided i would pick garran up from the house and we would go to lunch to celebrate the end of the semester and him having some free time!
we had all the kids with us and lunch went pretty well.
right before we left, briea was getting kind of fussy and i decided that she really needed a diaper. i took her to the restroom so that i could take care of her diaper. not i should have known with my luck that the following situation should be normal to me by now, but i guess some days i am a little slow on the uptake.
i walk in the bathroom and of course they have no changing table. they do however have what look like these two little tables, more like plant stands. im sure you get the idea. so i thought, well i will just slide them together, lay my little changing mat over it and it will be just fine. by this point briea was getting frustrated and crying. she does not like having a dirty diaper. so i go to grab the plant stand on the right to pull it over to the other one and the whole dang thing falls apart. i mean literally in pieces. how in the world was it holding itself together? who knows so now im holding a screaming baby and trying to put this dumb plant stand back together. i get it somewhat back together but then have a new dilemma. where am i going to change her now. im not going to lay here on these crazy plant stands. so i decided to try something different and lay my mat on the floor put her on it and start to change her diaper. as soon as i get her little diaper off she looks at me and smiles. i thought to myself, what a sweet little girl. i had felt bad that it took me so long to get that wet diaper off of her until i looked down and realized that her smile might not be so cute and could possibly be a little mischievous. yep as soon as i had her diaper off she had decided to use the bathroom again. needless to say i was glad to get everything cleaned and get out of the bathroom. i was so ready to go home!

I love the saying "the best thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother". My husband does an amazing job of that. I am truly married to my best friend. We laugh often and try to see the best in every situation, or at least find the humor in it. We have four beautiful children. Cullan (7) Kael (6) Briea (3) and Ayla (2). We are currently living in Illinois while Garran attends Grad School. He is a talented print maker and is enjoying his time here. He has a website if you are interested. www.garrangillespie.com Right now we are living every day to the fullest and trying to have as much fun as possible along the way!!

This explains why I blog so much RIGHT?

“Your journal is your autobiography, so it should be kept carefully. You are unique, and there may be incidents in your experience that are more noble and praiseworthy in their way than those recorded in any other life. …
“What could you do better for your children and your children’s children than to record the story of your life, your triumphs over adversity, your recovery after a fall, your progress when all seemed black, your rejoicing when you had finally achieved?”
Elder Spencer W Kimball!

I need to read this every morning!

"It isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is. It all works out. Don't worry. I say that to myself every morning. It all works out in the end. Put your trust in God, and move forward with faith and confidence in the future. The Lord will not forsake us. He will not forsake us. If we will put our trust in Him, if we will pray to Him, if we will live worthy of His blessings, He will hear our prayers."

-President Gordon B. Hinckley
