perfect day~

today was awesome. with garran gone in chicago at an art conference with his professor i was really apprehensive about having all three kids by myself, just because i had not had much practice yet =)
so today went great. i got all three up and dressed and we headed out to do my visiting teaching. they were really well behaved and played nicely while we were visiting. then my friend and i took our kids to lunch. again all three kiddos were so well behaved. the boys did an awesome job and briea just slept in her car seat. i have to also say that while we were at the restaurant i was so impressed with this group of middle school boys. the place was packed and there were no tables available. we were standing their with our food and waiting for something to open up with all our kids. we waited maybe 3-4 minutes when this young man walked up to us and said that we could have their table. so this group of probably six middle school boys got up and gave us their table with out being prompted or anything. (i felt so old. my friend and i both said we wished we could meet their moms to tell them what gentlemen they were!)
anyways after lunch we headed to target to do a little shopping. i needed to get some stuff for briea and so we decided to just walk around and shop for a while. who doesn't love to walk around target. i was so impressed with the boys especially. no major meltdowns when i said that we would not be going to the toy section today and that they just needed to be patient while i was looking at a few things.
I LOVE DAYS LIKE THIS!!!
so i thought i would show off my cuties today since i am so happy with them.

my blonde haired blue eyed boy has been such a big helper!

kael passed out on the way home. shopping wears him out!

finally lil miss decided to wake up just as we were walking in the door. perfect timing!

we cant wait for daddy to get home tonight. cullan has been asking pretty frequently when daddy will be getting home.

I can't believe how much the kids have changed in just a month! I miss you all! Also, I am happy to see your little girl continues to be your clone! I just want to squeeze her and play with the boys!

I love the saying "the best thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother". My husband does an amazing job of that. I am truly married to my best friend. We laugh often and try to see the best in every situation, or at least find the humor in it. We have four beautiful children. Cullan (7) Kael (6) Briea (3) and Ayla (2). We are currently living in Illinois while Garran attends Grad School. He is a talented print maker and is enjoying his time here. He has a website if you are interested. www.garrangillespie.com Right now we are living every day to the fullest and trying to have as much fun as possible along the way!!

This explains why I blog so much RIGHT?

“Your journal is your autobiography, so it should be kept carefully. You are unique, and there may be incidents in your experience that are more noble and praiseworthy in their way than those recorded in any other life. …
“What could you do better for your children and your children’s children than to record the story of your life, your triumphs over adversity, your recovery after a fall, your progress when all seemed black, your rejoicing when you had finally achieved?”
Elder Spencer W Kimball!

I need to read this every morning!

"It isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is. It all works out. Don't worry. I say that to myself every morning. It all works out in the end. Put your trust in God, and move forward with faith and confidence in the future. The Lord will not forsake us. He will not forsake us. If we will put our trust in Him, if we will pray to Him, if we will live worthy of His blessings, He will hear our prayers."

-President Gordon B. Hinckley
