just for fun!

Ok I saw this on my friends blog and thought it would be fun to see what people could come up with. I know some people are not familiar with how to leave a comment so if you want to-- all you have to do is at the bottom of the post click on the thing that says comment and it will take you to the screen. Here are the rules..
Here are the directions:
1. As a comment on this post, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments. Just let me know which you prefer.
Let's see what everyone remembers!

well, I guess my memory of you would be when you and Jean came down to our house in S.C. and ya'll bought those Croc noodle shooters, and we played with them in the pool. Good times, also listening to Cake in your stick shift car. Love you!

Oh I'm so glad you are playing!
My memory: walking at Crossroads with you. You "hadn't been feeling well," had been to a mystery doctor's appointment, wanted to know about double strollers and you said there were so many people pregnant in our ward. Of course it couldn't be you--Curls was like...2 months old. Haha. You have been blessed two times over :)

I remember sleeping over at Jean's with you when I barely knew her because I wanted to go to church with Randy. Jean only ever liked me (in the beginning) because you liked me. So, thanks Meghan!

I remember when Randy and I moved back to Iowa. We weren't "new" so no one really paid much attention to us. We were lonely and felt out of place. But you guys had us over for dinner and that meant the world to us. I don't have a blog so I don't have to participate in this. :)

One of my memories of you is when you were very pregnant and still let Garran go on high adventre with my husband and all the scouts. I thought you must either be crazy or have the kindest heart in the world! What a sacrifice! I prayed for you every day they were gone.

This is a recent memory but good nonetheless! We had a scrap-a-thon at the church building and were a little freaked out by being the only ones in the building. We decided to go to the gas station to get something to drink. While paying, in walked these "whipper snappers" yelling and carrying on. Without missing a beat, we both looked at each other and groaned which entertained the clerk. I don't know why, but we were in a goofy mood that night!

I love the saying "the best thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother". My husband does an amazing job of that. I am truly married to my best friend. We laugh often and try to see the best in every situation, or at least find the humor in it. We have four beautiful children. Cullan (7) Kael (6) Briea (3) and Ayla (2). We are currently living in Illinois while Garran attends Grad School. He is a talented print maker and is enjoying his time here. He has a website if you are interested. www.garrangillespie.com Right now we are living every day to the fullest and trying to have as much fun as possible along the way!!

This explains why I blog so much RIGHT?

“Your journal is your autobiography, so it should be kept carefully. You are unique, and there may be incidents in your experience that are more noble and praiseworthy in their way than those recorded in any other life. …
“What could you do better for your children and your children’s children than to record the story of your life, your triumphs over adversity, your recovery after a fall, your progress when all seemed black, your rejoicing when you had finally achieved?”
Elder Spencer W Kimball!

I need to read this every morning!

"It isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is. It all works out. Don't worry. I say that to myself every morning. It all works out in the end. Put your trust in God, and move forward with faith and confidence in the future. The Lord will not forsake us. He will not forsake us. If we will put our trust in Him, if we will pray to Him, if we will live worthy of His blessings, He will hear our prayers."
