Fear Factor Party

So my brother in law loves fear factor, so his awesome wife did a fear factor party for him..
and of course...
we participated.

The first one was worms on a plate and you had to take a plastic fork in your mouth and put them on a plate your partner was holding.
Who ever could get the most won...
Yep Garran and I WON!!

Next up...
Gummy worms in cool whip.
You had to get all the worms off your plate, rotating players. Whoever got theirs all eaten first wins..
Yep, we won!!
Joe and Jerusha came in a close 2nd.
Can you tell I get a little competitive!
Next up..
the water challenge.
They put ice and water in buckets and each partner had to put one foot in. Whoever was left standing with a foot in, won.
At this point, it was Garran and I versus the Elders.
Here is Joe, filling the buckets.
 Elder's feet are in.
 But so were ours.
Garran lasted a few minutes, as well as one of the missionaries.
But me...NEVER.!!!!
I lasted 20+ minutes, but then realized that Joe probably wanted some birthday cake and that I would be nice and let the missionary win.
We all know who is tough! LOL
These were my feet after. Yep a little red, but I am tough.
After that..
A pepper challenge in which I did not participate.
That was all boys.
It was Charlie, Tobie, and one of the missionaries.
The missionary won.
Poor guys.
It was hard to watch them eat those peppers.
I am tough, but I don't do peppers.
Finally it was time to celebrate.
Joe had a non traditional birthday cake, but it was fun.
It was a donut tower!
Very Fun!!
Happy Happy Birthday Joe!
It was a wild and fun party!
See...Here is a picture of my niece Tessa at the end of the night!

Just kidding. Her uncle put those on her as a joke.
I love the look on her face!
Thanks for such a fun night!

I love the saying "the best thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother". My husband does an amazing job of that. I am truly married to my best friend. We laugh often and try to see the best in every situation, or at least find the humor in it. We have four beautiful children. Cullan (7) Kael (6) Briea (3) and Ayla (2). We are currently living in Illinois while Garran attends Grad School. He is a talented print maker and is enjoying his time here. He has a website if you are interested. www.garrangillespie.com Right now we are living every day to the fullest and trying to have as much fun as possible along the way!!

This explains why I blog so much RIGHT?

“Your journal is your autobiography, so it should be kept carefully. You are unique, and there may be incidents in your experience that are more noble and praiseworthy in their way than those recorded in any other life. …
“What could you do better for your children and your children’s children than to record the story of your life, your triumphs over adversity, your recovery after a fall, your progress when all seemed black, your rejoicing when you had finally achieved?”
Elder Spencer W Kimball!

I need to read this every morning!

"It isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is. It all works out. Don't worry. I say that to myself every morning. It all works out in the end. Put your trust in God, and move forward with faith and confidence in the future. The Lord will not forsake us. He will not forsake us. If we will put our trust in Him, if we will pray to Him, if we will live worthy of His blessings, He will hear our prayers."

-President Gordon B. Hinckley
