Today was Field day at Cullans school. It is not the Field day I grew up with, where you had to complete against each other and ribbons were handed out at the end.
This is basically a whole day spent outside playing different games.
The kids seem to really enjoy it.
I only got to spend half the day with Cullan due to a doctors appointment I had to go to in the morning.
When I arrived they were just heading outside for the second half of their day.
Here is Cullan with his class waiting to play the basketball game.
I am not for sure, but I think that went in. It looks like it is going in doesn't it?
Then they moved onto the water race.
They had to fill a cup up with water and run down to the other bucket and dump it.
I think the kids enjoyed getting wet. It was pretty warm outside today. I was grateful Cullan had sunscreen on or he would have been one burned little boy.
Then we headed into the gym.
The kids took turns sitting on these scooter things and pushing each other.
After this we headed back outside.
50 yard dash was next on the list.
Our next station was a free time at the play ground.
I think Cullan enjoyed showing off for me a little bit.
So did his class mates. I had about 4-5 kids all saying to me, "Look what I can do!! Watch me do this!!"
My little monkey man!!
When we were done on the playground we went to get our Popsicles and sat in the parking lot for the big finale!
The teachers at Cullan's school have a chicken launching contest. A rubber chicken of course. The teachers pair up in teams of three. They then see who can launch the chicken the farthest across the parking lot. All the kids cheer for their teachers. It was a lot of fun!!
I am so happy that I get to go and see things like this at Cullan's school and spend time with just him. Now that he is at school all day, I miss him. I feel like we don't get a whole lot of one on one time. So times like these, I try to be around as much as possible.

My kids have that same kind of field day: lots of playing outside. I miss the ribbon getting and the relay racing. Oh well.
I love his sunglasses - even inside! :) What a handsome boy!
