I found this... Tell me what you think?
So I was looking at photography blogs and stumbled on this. They are wonderful pictures, but not having experienced this I don't know. It seems like such a personal time. However I think I would love to have pictures to always look at and remember. Anyways tell me what you think.
I hesitated to put this up because I did not want to offend anyone, so I hope that does not happen. That was not my intention.
This explains why I blog so much RIGHT?
“Your journal is your autobiography, so it should be kept carefully. You are unique, and there may be incidents in your experience that are more noble and praiseworthy in their way than those recorded in any other life. …
“What could you do better for your children and your children’s children than to record the story of your life, your triumphs over adversity, your recovery after a fall, your progress when all seemed black, your rejoicing when you had finally achieved?”
Elder Spencer W Kimball!
I need to read this every morning!
"It isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is. It all works out. Don't worry. I say that to myself every morning. It all works out in the end. Put your trust in God, and move forward with faith and confidence in the future. The Lord will not forsake us. He will not forsake us. If we will put our trust in Him, if we will pray to Him, if we will live worthy of His blessings, He will hear our prayers."
-President Gordon B. Hinckley

I have a friend in Oregon that's a photographer for NILMDTS. I also know how important the pics of my niece are to the whole family, especially her parents. They didn't get pro shots, but had they known about it I'm sure they would have. It took a lot of photoshopping to get the few pics of her they have to look like her becuase of all the tubes and wires. Having a pro there just after they took her off life support may have been nice. I just think it's a great service.
I cannot imagine a better gift for families whose little one is gone too soon.
I love this idea. I have seen it before and if I ever went pro with my photography, I would join this great organization. There is nothng like having pictures of your baby, especially a baby you will never see again. And to have someone capture him/her in such a sweet way is really a blessing.
I cried through the whole video. I would want to have pictures of my child if a tragedy occurred. They are so hard to look at, even though the babies aren't mine.
I think this is a wonderful service. Having never experienced anything like this myself, I don't know how I would feel. But I think in the long run, having pictures would certainly help in the healing process. Thank you for sharing. I had no idea an organization like this existed!
Wow what a great thing to have. I rember a family that used to go to our church lost a baby right before they moved here and I rember seeing pictures at their house with the rest of thier kids. I to cried thought that video but would want that remembrance of my child.
I think this is a great service. Even if someone wasn't certain if they wanted pictures, I think it would be better to have them taken and not look at them, rather than to regret not having them at all.
