So glad I get to spend another year with this great guy.

Happy New Year to ALL!

Ayla

My sweet beautiful girl

Now she is a Sunbeam!

My heart is aching a little.
I no longer have any babies in the nursery at church.
My little Ayla is a Sunbeam.
She is so excited and I think she loves being with the big kids.
(ps. Cullan moved up to senior primary the same Sunday. Yeah... I might be having a hard time with all of this!)

My little Man

He loves to draw.
I know someday I will miss seeing him always doodling.
He will grow up and do great things.
But right now I am going to enjoy my view!

Cuties

This Girl has an addiction. A serious addiction.
Remember how I said she was addicted?? Well I had one of these land on my face around 1 am. This little lady had half woken up in the middle of the night, went in the kitchen, opened the fridge and then came and climbed into bed with me to have me open it. Only she was already back asleep by the time her head hit the pillow. Like I said... She might have a small addiction!

Briea

A style all her own

This kid.
She most definitely has a style all her own.
Usually it includes undies and a pair of shoes, but every once in a while it includes other articles of clothing!
She is crazy and we love her!!

This Boy

He melts my heart.
He is so sweet and kind.
I couldn't ask for a better kid.

Good or Awful

The other day at church Ayla blew in my face and then said to me
"Good or Awful?" I said good.
She then gave me a thumbs up.
This girl...she makes me laugh.

Apple Anyone?

Cullan's favorite part of me baking or making anything with apples is when I peel the apples.
I think he is so cute eating one long continuos string of apple peel.

Happy Birthday Grandpa

My dad was here this year for Christmas and his birthday.
I made a chocolate cake for his birthday and we had my SIL and her family over for dinner. It was a fun day for all!
Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Ginger Bread houses 2013

This year we did out traditional Ginger Bread Houses! I think they came out cute as ever! We invited the missionaries from church over! It was a fun evening!

Have I mentioned this is one of my favorite traditions.
This was my house this year!!
Woot Woot!

- we watched Christmas movies
-we took Christmas naps
-we saw Santa

Most importantly we lived every minute of being together, remembering the Savior and doing things together to try and spread some Christmas cheer! We were greatly blessed this year and are counting our blessings!

our story

I love the saying "the best thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother". My husband does an amazing job of that. I am truly married to my best friend. We laugh often and try to see the best in every situation, or at least find the humor in it. We have four beautiful children. Cullan (7) Kael (6) Briea (3) and Ayla (2). We are currently living in Illinois while Garran attends Grad School. He is a talented print maker and is enjoying his time here. He has a website if you are interested. www.garrangillespie.com Right now we are living every day to the fullest and trying to have as much fun as possible along the way!!

This explains why I blog so much RIGHT?

“Your journal is your autobiography, so it should be kept carefully. You are unique, and there may be incidents in your experience that are more noble and praiseworthy in their way than those recorded in any other life. …
“What could you do better for your children and your children’s children than to record the story of your life, your triumphs over adversity, your recovery after a fall, your progress when all seemed black, your rejoicing when you had finally achieved?”
Elder Spencer W Kimball!

I need to read this every morning!

"It isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is. It all works out. Don't worry. I say that to myself every morning. It all works out in the end. Put your trust in God, and move forward with faith and confidence in the future. The Lord will not forsake us. He will not forsake us. If we will put our trust in Him, if we will pray to Him, if we will live worthy of His blessings, He will hear our prayers."

-President Gordon B. Hinckley
