Birthday Cheese Cake!

Today Garran got a surprise cheese cake from some of our good friends the Williams. It was blueberry his favorite. This is what happened after he discovered it in the fridge!

Yesterday we got to play with our friendly neighbors. Curls just loves Mei Mei. (in the purple shirt) Anytime they see each other the run to each other and hug while yelling each others name! I know Curls will be sad when we move away from them, both the boys will. He loves playing with their family. I guess I will just have to work hard at setting up playdates.. Maybe when lil shep has a doctors appointment the girls can come play since we will be kind of close!

I think Sargento is getting into blogging!

So recently every time Sargento sees something funny he says "thats going on the blog"! He asked me to add this little number that he found on youtube. He thought it was hilarious.. I guess it is just a youtube kind of day!

Sargento loves this song. It comes on Disney and he and the boys laugh and sing. It cracks me up. Sargento says this is the best song!

How to be~

Today I was at church and one of the lessons touched on how we are given gifts/talents to help us raise our children. Immdiately I started to think of what mine may be. I always think it is easy to look around the room and see the women that you know and think oooh she is really good at that with her kids or ohh i wish i was more like that with my kids. But the fact is that my kids have me and not those other wonderful ladies. I was thinking that I am sure I have gifts/talents that help me to be a mom to both of the boys, but today as I was sitting through the lesson I thought that I could do alot more to improve on those to be better. I always have good intentions but am not always the best at following through. If I could give myself a title that would be it. QUEEN OF GOOD INTENTIONS! I try to do what I have planned but it does not always work out. I need to be better at that. So anyways that is my new goal for the month of June! I am going to try and follow through with my good intentions which I am hoping will make me a better mom but will also help me reach one of my other goals which is to be more service oriented. (I think this post was more for me than any of you.. I think I just needed to clear my head.. ever had those days?)

A date for SArgenTos Birthday!

Just thought I would post about Sargento and I going on a date today. Sargento's sister came over to watch the boys and we went to go see the new Narnia movie. I have to say that I liked the first one, but I think I liked this one even more. We had a nice time. We decided this would be part of Sargento's birthday celebration. When his birthday comes around.. he likes to say that he gets to celebrate all week long. I think he just likes all the extra attention=) Anyways we recommend this movie if anyone is thinking about it!

my friend told me about this because she knows i am a dedicated blogger. anyways some of you may already know and some may not. so hopefully this will save you some time. ok i know when i log on i go through and click on every ones blog to see who has updated their and who has not. now all i have to do is go to my favorites and click on one link and see who has updated and who has not.. very helpful (side note:this only works for those you have public blogs. if your friends blogs are set to private you will still have to click on theirs from your page) anyways here are the steps.

1. go to google reader.. if you can't find it just google .. google reader
2. click on add subscription
3. add your friends blog address

Then when they post a new blog you will be able to see. It saves me a lot of time. I occasionally still go to the blogs to see if they have changed templates or added and baby counters or new pictures on the side, but just for quick checks this is really helpful.

Finally We Got One!

Sorry about the mess....we are moving..but we finally got a new table. I love it. I am so excited to have a table to sit at that is not a hand me down. (not that I am ungrateful for any of the folks taht have handed them down =)!I had originally wanted dark wood, but on a budget I am really happy with what we got. (I know other people don't get as excited as I do.. but I love new furniture!)

Ok as promised I have to wonder what you think about the performance. My friend Mandy called and was laughing and said they must be out of practice because she thought they were kind of winded on stage. So please please let me know what you think.

where do you draw the line~

So this is a topic that has been on my mind a lot lately. Gossiping.. how do you know when your just talking about a friend with another friend or when you are gossiping. So I looked up the definition-

gossip-idle talk or rumor, esp. about the personal or private affairs of others:

this definition is very confusing to me personally. I know there have been times in my life where I am glad that someone has called me and told me something personal about someone that I knew because I was able to be more sensitive and even helpful and had I not known maybe I would have had a different response to certain situations. I also think there are times and places where I guess "gossip" is good. I know there have been times in my life where things have happened and I was happy that it got passed through the telephone changes so that I did not have to relive the conversation over and over again. So what is the right thing to do. Never talk about anyone you know.. Is it ok as long as it is not mean spirited? Where and how do you draw the line. I can admit that sometimes I am as bad as the next person about wanting to know what is going on in someones life. However in my head I guess I don't always feel as if I am being nosey, just curious about that person and their life. You know sometimes if you don't know a person that well, you ask a friend " Do you know anything about them?" Is the conversation that follows considered gossip. Sometimes you just ask how someone is that you have not seen in a while and then you end up hearing all about them and what they have been up to... Isn't part of that just what being friends and having friends is all about. We ask about each other and are curious about what is going on in each others life. I am very interested to know what people think about this. I would say leave me a comment but when I ask that very few people do.. So if you would like you can if not just know that this is something that I have been thinking about ... mainly last night when I could not sleep. =)

Mothers Day 2008!

Well we had a busy but great Mother's Day! We went to church and then hit the road. It was so much fun to see family. I got a wonderful gift from all of my boys. They got me a bag that I had been wanting.. Daddy did a good job of picking it out. We went to a family Picnic first and had a great time playing outside. Then we made a quick stop by my moms to say hi and pick a few things up from there amazing garage saleing abilities. It was a long but great day.. HOpe everyone had a great Mother's day!

That someone would give you one of these and say go have fun and don't worry about paying it back! I am having one of those months! Not that we have credit card problems, we do really well with staying out of debt. However sometimes I wish that I had one of these growing in my backyard!

Oh well, just a day of wishful thinking =)

Rewinds Idea of Help!

So with all the packing and getting things cleaned up my little Rewind has been busy helping too. I have found toys in all kinds of places. These are just a few trash cans, the toilet, closets, drawers and this was the latest. Can you see his little surprise for me to pack? Just right of the milk!

Sargentos Work

Well it is the end of spring semester for Sargento. He had ceramics this semester and he brought home some of his work. I thought I would share some of it with you. Enjoy!
