a walk down memory lane~
grandpa and kael
kael-look at those chunky legs!
my cute boys and grandpa
i can not believe that cullan was that little. it seems so long ago.
last one. can you tell these all came from my dads camera!
another visit & updates~
--------------------------------------------
on a whole other note. I HATE OUR COMPUTER!! it has been nothing but trouble since the day we bought it. tonight we tried for almost three hours to hook up a wireless router. it still does not work. our home teacher was even stumped when he stopped by. our computer is so stubborn. garran said maybe we should leave some kind of offering in front of it tonight and hope that it comes around to our side by the morning!
i have given up for now-maybe tomorrow i will try my luck again.
on the box it says four easy steps to set up this router.
we did those four plus about a million more!!
so FRUSTRATING!

christmas with garrans folks~
here are a few highlights of our trip and time out there!
-the boys opening presents-
-cullan helping grandma with their gift to them-
-just a picture of my cute husband-
-yep that is kael eating a small candy bar, paper and all-
-cullan has a love of glasses right now. he found these play glasses at grandmas house and wore them almost the whole time-
-the boys "helping" grandma make cookies. i am not sure how much help they were but they sure had fun.-
-cullan cutting out sugar cookies--delivering his hard work to daddy and uncle sam. willing taste testers! --really getting into helping. he loves to cook, bake, anything that has to do with making stuff in the kitchen. who knows maybe we have a chef in the making.--candy cane in one hand, on the look out for cookies. i think both my boys got a little spoiled on the sweet treats that seem to accompany christmas time.-
we had a nice visit with garrans family and then headed home. while we had a great time, it is nice to be home. especially since we have nothing but nasty weather in the forecast. oh well. we are grateful for the time that we were able to visit with all our family and that we were able to do so safely.
we have had a very merry christmas and hope everyone else did too!
out-takes~
next my little sister, her boyfriend, and my parents.
-kind of hard to see those bunny ears huh?--thats better-
-not paying any attention to the photographer-
-one of garrans many smiles-
-parenting while posing, never a dull moment-
-cheesy-
-as good as its going to get!!-
-the boys got loose. sara missing to chase them down-
-starting to loose some of them. can you see it in their faces. especially garran and jeremy-
-kids back, george missing. trying to help me with the auto timer-
-i knew by this point i only had a few more tries-
-begging for patience and trying not to get frustrated myself-
christmas with my folks~
-bailey-
(my new warm slippers)
(the boys got a play kitchen that they love)
(my sister sara and her boyfriend jeremy came over later in the day to visit)
(aunt sara and cullan)
(can you tell cullan is excited. maybe just a little. galloping through the room)(my grandmother nanny, laughing because she guessed what her present was before she even opened it)
we had such a good visit with my family and enjoyed being able to spend some time with them during the holidays. the boys are excited for our next visit. they are already asking when we can visit grandma and grandpa again!
our story
- meghan
- Midwest, United States
- I love the saying "the best thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother". My husband does an amazing job of that. I am truly married to my best friend. We laugh often and try to see the best in every situation, or at least find the humor in it. We have four beautiful children. Cullan (7) Kael (6) Briea (3) and Ayla (2). We are currently living in Illinois while Garran attends Grad School. He is a talented print maker and is enjoying his time here. He has a website if you are interested. www.garrangillespie.com Right now we are living every day to the fullest and trying to have as much fun as possible along the way!!
~megs blogs~
This explains why I blog so much RIGHT?
“What could you do better for your children and your children’s children than to record the story of your life, your triumphs over adversity, your recovery after a fall, your progress when all seemed black, your rejoicing when you had finally achieved?”
Elder Spencer W Kimball!
I need to read this every morning!
